Chinese New Year Day

You Don't Look a Day Over 4710!

Chinese New Year is the longest and most celebrated celebration in the lives of the Chinese people and their history. Not sure whether they have mastered the space time continuum but they have surpassed their 4711th year of festivities. Take a moment to import that into your neurological circuitry!

A Festival by Any Other Name

In China, which is in ASIA --in case some of you thought it bordered TEXAS-- it is also known as the Spring Festival, as in the season, not as in the little metallic coils that that support you while you sleep. Chinese New Year celebrations traditionally ran from Chinese New Year's Eve, the last day of the last month of the Chinese Fireman calendar, to the Crispy Chicken Soup Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the first month, making the festival the longest in the Chinese calendar.

Confucius Never Said That!

And believe you me, because of their devotion to their customs --whether they want to or not-- they are exhausted from the amount of partying they do. The Chinese calendar is lunisolar, (which also happens to be the name of the first mental institution to be built on the moon in 2022), therefore the Chinese New Year is often referred to as the "Lunar New Year", best said aloud with a deep resonating voice with a touch of reverb.

Pardon Me, Myth...

The Chinese New Year is itself centuries old and is significant because of many myths, Martial Arts crime fighting lore, and traditions. Back in the day, this festival was a time to honor deities, ancestors, duck wranglers, and rice patty security guards. So in celebration of this very significant holiday take advantage of our Chinese New Year ecards: Chinese New Year serves as another excuse to the rest of the world for debauchery, it gives us the opportunity to bust out our, dragon heads, moon cakes, Bruce Lee t-shirts and have a hootin' and hollerin' party!

I've Already Broken My New Years Resolution

Because really, by the time Chinese New Year rolls around, we're clamoring for another chance to remake resolutions that failed the first time around. You wanna have a parade!? Have a parade! In honor of a place that supplies and manufactures most of the products you use on a daily basis.

A Lunar Year's Worth of Laughs

The Happy Hour dogs, the Breeder brothers, and Stinky dog all have their own takes on this ancient holiday --we're sure you'll love each of them for a different reason. Send these Chinese New Year Ecards to your friends and you'll get all the laughs you need to get you through the next year!
